Rotary Cutting Advantages
Because rotary cutting works like a hand-held tube cutter it has a number of advantages.
- It’s faster. Unlike band saws or cold saws where the blade must slowly pass through the entire diameter, the blade of a rotary cutter only has to penetrate the tube’s wall thickness.
- No cut-off blade teeth. Because the cut-off blade doesn’t have teeth, there are no chips—and, typically no coolant is used. This is a big advantage because the tube cutting work area and your parts stay clean and dry.
- Smooth, clean cut. Most materials (copper, black EMT and plastic) can be cut with virtually no burr. This saves the time in secondary de-burring operations which are eliminated.
- Increased blade life. Rotory cutting allows blades to be re-sharpened up to 30 times. Compared to band saws and cold saws, your cost-per-cut is dramatically reduced.

RazorGage positioners combine the best hardware components, intelligent design and powerful optimizing software to provide the Pipe Cutter Pro with an accurate, reliable system that increases productivity, improves quality, and reduces waste.
Operation and networking is very intuitive. Cut-lists can be sent to the controller via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB or MEP based programming, or create a cut-list directly at the controller!
Since the RazorGage software is based on a rapid development platform, it is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers and can be easily customized.

Hand load your choice of material, program your cuts directly at the controller or download for your system via the Parts list Processor or Stratus and let the Pipe Cutter Pro take care of the rest.
RazorGage software allows the Pipe Cutter Pro to cut multiple sizes of pipe in one production run. This frees up valuable time on the work floor and allows the staff to take on other tasks.
